Live Online Combined Class

Science Shepherd Fundamentals of Chemistry is a comprehensive middle/high school (grades 7-12) curriculum for homeschool. Topics covered include the history of chemistry, atoms, bonding, molecules, radioactive chemistry and more. Fundamentals of Physics is a comprehensive middle/high school (grades 8-12) curriculum. Topics covered include the states of matter, Newton's laws of motion, waves, radioactive physics and more.

This class is a full year (2 semester) course following Science Shepherd’s Fundamentals of Chemistry Textbook.

Live teaching sessions are held on Thursdays at 2:30pm Central Time, August 25, 2022 to May 4, 2023. Dr. Hardin teaches one 45-60 minute class per week, with additional time allowed for student questions, based on the assigned reading for the upcoming week.

All classes are recorded and available anytime should a student not be able to make the live class or want to re-watch a class.

An additional 20 minute live lab meeting is available on Tuesdays at 3:30pm CT for students participating in the virtual lab option to join.

Dr. Hardin is available by email to answer questions about the reading material, live class content, labs, etc., and responds within several hours. If there are more complicated questions, he can schedule a video meeting with the student.

Recommended for 7th to 12th grade.

Scott Hardin holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, as well as a Medical Doctor degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and has been practicing medicine in Wisconsin since 1997.
